How do you compare with the rest of the club?
'Yardstik' yourselves and find out.

Yardstik provides a means by which the results of two-player games (like Squash, Badminton & Tennis) can be processed to generate skill ratings for each player. Thousands of match results can be processed simultaneously.

Yardstik generates a sorted list of players in descending order of their skill 'rating'.

Documentation, test data, configuration file and a demonstration version of Yardstik (licensed for up to 250 matches) can be downloaded.

Developments
'Yardstik' in football
Yardstik has now been applied to the English Football leagues with interesting results.

Because it imposes no constraints on fixtures, it has been possible to calculate rating for all 122 clubs in the English football and conference leagues simultaneously. Yardstik also estimates home advantage.

The results suggest that many more clubs could be promoted (and relegated) particularly in the intermediate leagues.
