PND (PPD): Personal Experiences

Suffering, support, detection and treatment

Page 1 of 2
Postnatal Depression (N America: "Postpartum Depression") is a surprisingly common condition -- affecting up to 10% of all mothers. Its severity varies, but it can be unpleasant for the mother and for her family, and in some circumstances it can also have adverse consequences for the well-being of the new baby. Early detection and treatment can be highly beneficial, but is not always available.
